Hamlyns of Scotland is part of a family food business, owned and managed by a family with 14 generations of history in oat milling, and last year the Hamlyns of Scotland brand celebrated its 50th birthday. Here are some of the key dates in the brand's history.
About the Project
Hamlyns of Scotland is a long standing family business spanning 14 generations. They approached NSDesign to help them with their ambitious plan to expand from a traditional oat milling business into consumer products and take the brand to a much wider audience. After in depth research and discussions with Hamlyns in order to fully understand their business and objectives, we helped establish key user groups and map out the journeys they would take through the site. Shareable and engaging content was key to the overall strategy.
We designed and built an immersive experience which allowed users to search and discover oat based recipes based on categories including food types and celebrity chefs as well as by products themselves. The recipes could then be easily shared via social channels. The website also included a full eCommerce shop to allow Hamlyns to sell their products online and a section promoting the health benefits and shareable health tips. The fully responsive website works beautifully across any device and also features custom illustration.

Our new website ensures we have a fresh, modern presence online, perfectly alighted to our new packaging. The site looks fantastic, is very easy to navigate and works well on different devices, all of which was very important to us. Thanks NSDesign for a great job!
