Embrace the Space - The Social Media Masterclass Workshop

Following on from the highly successful masterclass series run earlier this year, NSDesign is delighted to announce a new date for their "Embrace the Space" 1 Day Social Media Masterclass Workshop.

Led by NSDesign's MD, and Social Media strategist Gary Ennis, the workshop also features the expert talents of TV and Radio presenter Colin Kelly, giving attendees the expert information and guidance to ensure the right Social Media route for their businesses.

Over the past 24 months, we've introduced the benefits of Social Media to over 2000 businesses across Scotland, and the feedback to date has been excellent. The demand for more advanced training, with practical hands-on advice has led us to develop the 'Masterclass Series'.

This latest 1-day workshop (broken down into 3 sessions) will allow businesses to take full advantage of the real benefits social networking can bring when implemented correctly, and with the right strategy.

This isn't a lecture - it's hands on and bang up to date. It's suitable for business owners, marketing managers, new-starts and established organisations, if you already "do" social media, but want to do it better, or you've dabbled in it, but don't quite "get it", or even if you haven't yet signed up for any of it, this is the ideal masterclass.

Masterclass Programme

Session 1 - It's all about the conversation

The morning session will provide a quick general introduction to the themes, concepts and big ideas behind social media.

You'll be introduced to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the rest, and be shown some practical examples demonstrating what they can do for your business.

TV and Radio presenter Colin Kelly will share his own experiences of social media and serve as your trusted guide for a fully-interactive morning session where you'll be working in groups and pro-actively developing your own ideas.

We'll be showing you the good, the bad and the ugly, focusing not just on best practice, but on the risks, common errors and particularly severe examples of 'social media fails'.



Session 2 - Building the Social Strategy

Following a networking lunch, the second session begins with NSDesign's Gary Ennis helping you define a Social Media strategy tailored to your own business. Having the Facebook and Twitter account is just the start. Knowing what you want to do with them, and how to do it, will form part of your overall social media strategy - an important part of ensuring that your business benefits from embracing social media.

It includes understanding where your clients will "be" on social media, plans to talk to them effectively by considering "what" to actually say, and a detailed look at monitoring and evaluating your business success by using the tools available, while learning from other business successes.

We'll also look at some of the ways to protect your business, and get you thinking about implementing a Social Media Policy, and the best approach to managing employee usage.



Session 3 - Getting 'hands-on' with Twitter and Facebook

After a quick coffee break, the 3rd and final practical session will demonstrate the real business potential from two of the most popular social platforms, Facebook and Twitter showing you how it should be done! From setting up correctly, bespoke customisation, and tips and tricks on getting the most from using them for your business benefit.

Twitter is so much more than a celebrity gossip tool! Using our Seven Steps to Twitter Success, you'll see how to get the most out of Twitter, strategically build your following, and see how it can make a massive impact to how your business communicates, finds sales leads, researches new ideas and much more.

Hands on - Facebook for Business!
A detailed look at Facebook, and how to successfully implement an effective Facebook page for business. Includes "personal vs business", Facebook privacy issues, getting to grips with the Facebook timeline, advanced customisation of your business page and some of the more advanced features to make Facebook work for you.

We'll wrap up the day looking at what's new in Social Media, and what's likely to be on your agenda in the months to come - tools like Pinterest, Google+ (and Google+ Hangouts), QR Codes and more, and you'll be leaving buzzing with excitement and opportunities for your own business.

Wi-fi enabled laptops are welcomed, but by no means mandatory, as Gary provides you with all the hands-on experience to take away and start doing Social Media right!
